Changing your Coverage

We’re here to help.

Medicare Annual Enrollment

The Medicare Annual Enrollment period runs from October 15 to December 7. Within this window, you have the option to join, switch, or discontinue a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C) or a prescription drug plan (Part D). If you choose to discontinue a Medicare Advantage plan, your coverage will revert back to Original Medicare.

Special Enrollment Period: Qualifying Life Event

You have the flexibility to join, switch, or discontinue a Medicare Advantage plan or prescription drug plan if you experience a qualifying event, such as moving. Typically, you have a two-month window after the month of the qualifying event to make these plan changes. If you decide to drop a Medicare Advantage plan, your coverage will revert back to Original Medicare.

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment

If you’re enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan starting January 1, you have the opportunity to modify your coverage once between January 1 and March 31. During this period, you can switch to another Medicare Advantage plan or revert back to Original Medicare. If you choose Original Medicare, you also have the option to enroll in a Part D plan for prescription drug coverage and a Medicare supplement plan for additional benefits.
